RoyaleHosting upgrades ERA-IX port to 100Gbit for faster connections to Hetzner, Cloudflare, Google, Steam, and Meta. Increased capacity enhances DDoS protection filtering.

On October 3rd, we upgraded our ERA-IX port to 100Gbit to accommodate growing demand and improve latency to key providers like Hetzner, Cloudflare, Google, Steam, and Meta. Traffic using ERA-IX also benefits from our new filtering technologies.
Why ERA-IX?
ERA-IX is a reliable, fast-growing internet exchange that shares our vision for expansion and innovation. ERA-IX delivers low-latency connections to many key providers while offering important insights and security features—making it our preferred route to these providers.
During the 100Gbit upgrade, ERA-IX provided helpful, flexible support, ensuring a seamless transition to the new port.
Benefits for customers
Latency to key providers like Hetzner, Cloudflare, Google, Steam, and Meta improves significantly. We're directly connected to these providers via the ERA-IX platform, and with higher port capacity, more traffic now uses the faster route.
Increased capacity
The 100Gbit upgrade lets us handle more traffic during peak hours. This extra capacity also increases our in-house DDoS protection filtering capabilities, improving security for all customers.
Building better infrastructure
We're excited to use the ERA-IX platform to deliver lower latency connectivity and build out our network infrastructure. This upgrade is part of our ongoing improvements to network infrastructure and DDoS protection.
